Japan to Export Used Destroyers to Philippines to Deter China

Japan plans to export six used Abukuma-class destroyers to the Philippines to enhance deterrence against China, strengthening US ally cooperation amid regional maritime tensions and China's assertiveness in the South and East China Seas.
